  • About

No veteran should ever have to fight the battle that rages within alone - especially after honorably serving their country.

K9 Partners for Patriots is dedicated to preventing veteran suicide and fostering hope for those battling PTSD, TBI, and MST. Through the unique bond formed while training their service dogs, we guide veterans from self-doubt to renewed confidence, promoting mental wellness through in-house counseling and reconnection in a supportive community.

Founded in 2014 by Mary Peter, a Certified Master Dog Trainer with over three decades of experience, K9 Partners for Patriots provides a 6-month comprehensive service dog training program free of charge to veterans struggling with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, or military sexual trauma.

Every day, over 20 veterans in the United States die by suicide. PTSD, TBI, and MST create invisible wounds that can make the transition to civilian life incredibly difficult. These challenges often lead to isolation, depression, and a feeling of hopelessness. Our veterans deserve better - they deserve our support.
