Budget Workshop and Public Hearings 
 

(Brooksville, FL) – The Hernando County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will hold the following upcoming budget workshop and public hearings. The Office of Management and Budget will present the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025-2026 Budget for Hernando County to the BOCC on the following dates in the John Law Ayers room located on the first floor of the Government Center at 20 North Main Street in Brooksville:

• Budget Workshop
  • Present FY 2025-2026 Recommended Budget
    • Thursday, July 10, 2025, beginning at 9am
• Regularly Scheduled BOCC meeting
  • Set Maximum Millage Rate
    • Tuesday, July 22, 2025, beginning at 9am
• Public Hearings
  • Present FY 2025-2026 Tentative Millage and Budget
    • Thursday, September 11, 2025, beginning at 5:01pm
  • Adopt FY 2025-2026 Final Millage and Budget
    • Tuesday, September 23, 2025, beginning at 5:01pm

The FY 2025-2026 recommended budget may be viewed at www.HernandoCounty.us after the July 10, 2025 workshop. The final approved budget for FY 2025-2026 may be viewed online once it has been approved by the Board of County Commissioners on September 23, 2025.
