Halloween Harvest Festival coming this weekend; volunteers needed
(Brooksville, FL) The 28th Annual Halloween Harvest Festival will be held October 12 – 13, 2018 from 6 – 10 p.m. at the Hernando County Fairgrounds located at 6436 Broad Street in Brooksville. Both nights will feature a variety of games, face painting, fantastic food, haunted house, hay ride and contests. Haunted house will open at 6:30 p.m. and is recommended for ages 8 and up. General admission to this event and parking will be free. Volunteers are needed to assist with judging contests, haunted house, children’s game area and face painting.
 
Event contests:
  • Friday, October 12 – Paws on Parade
    • $10 entry fee
    • Registration begins at 6:30 p.m., contest will begin at 7 p.m.
    • Proceeds benefit Hernando County Animal Services
  • Saturday, October 13 – Children’s Costume Contest
    • $2 entry fee
    • Categories: Ages 0-3, 4-5, 6-7 and 8-12
    • Registration begins at 6 p.m., contest will begin at 7 p.m
