Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind Announces Appointment of New CEO, Becky Bennett

New Port Richey, FL – April 21, 2025 – Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind is pleased to announce the appointment of Becky Bennett as Chief Executive Officer, effective April 21, 2025.

Becky Bennett brings more than two decades of leadership in nonprofit, healthcare, and child welfare services. Prior to joining Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired and Blind, she served as the Senior Manager of Philanthropy for Premier Community Healthcare, raising over $1 million to fund two new health centers in underserved communities.

Previously, she served for 14 years with Pasco Kids First in leadership roles including Director of Development and Program Manager for Healthy Families Pasco-Hernando. Throughout her career, Becky has demonstrated a deep commitment to community care, fundraising success, and program innovation.

Becky is a respected leader in the community, currently serving as Rotary District 6950 Governor Elect, and has received numerous accolades including the Rotary International Citation of Meritorious Service, 2016 Outstanding Citizen of the Year, and the Paul Harris Fellowship +6.

She holds a Master’s in Health Services Administration and a Bachelor’s in Rehabilitative Services from the University of Florida.
