The new measures are aimed at enhancing accessibility and convenience for both residents and visitors.

Effective immediately, the speed limit on Shoal Line Boulevard between Bluefish Drive and Calienta Street will be lowered to 30 miles per hour. In addition, the resolution permits the operation of golf carts during daytime hours along Shoal Line Boulevard and in the adjacent residential neighborhoods to the west of the Boulevard.

·         Safety and Equipment Requirements: Golf carts must be equipped with efficient brakes, reliable steering, safe tires, rearview mirrors, and red reflectorized warning devices in both the front and rear. Operators must also adhere to guidelines that require a valid driver’s license or government-issued ID.

·         Operational Hours: Golf carts are only allowed on the designated streets during daylight hours, between sunrise and sunset.

·         Enforcement and Penalties: Violations of the new golf cart usage regulations will be subject to penalties under the Florida Uniform Traffic Control Law.
