40th Annual Art in the Park – A Milestone Celebration of Art & Community

(Brooksville, FL)The Hernando County Fine Arts Council proudly presents the 40th Annual Art in the Park, a landmark celebration of fine art, craftsmanship, and community, taking place on March 8th from 10 AM to 5 PM and March 9th from 10 AM to 4 PM at Tom Varn Park in Brooksville, Florida.

For four decades, Art in the Park has been one of Hernando County’s most beloved cultural events, uniting artists, collectors, and art lovers for a weekend of creativity, entertainment, and connection. Set among the majestic oak trees of Tom Varn Park (301 Darby Lane, Brooksville, FL 34601), the event showcases a diverse array of artistic talent from across the nation. Entry is free, with a suggested $5 parking donation to support local arts programs, teacher grants, and nonprofit initiatives.

"This milestone year is especially exciting as we introduce more live demonstrations and interactive art installations throughout the park," says Allisa Babor, Chair of Art in the Park. "With a wide range of artists, dynamic entertainment, our beloved Children's Experience Area and Student Art Show, and an incredible variety of art, this will be one of our best years yet."

Each year, Art in the Park attracts over 6,000 attendees, fostering a vibrant atmosphere of artistic appreciation and community engagement. Attendees will enjoy two days of live entertainment, including poetry, live painting, glassblowing, and other artist demonstrations in addition to music! New for this year, professional artists will lead interactive and collaborative art experiences, inviting attendees to take part in the creative process. Whether adding their touch to a community art piece or watching live demonstrations come to life, guests won’t want to miss this chance to be part of the art!

The Hernando County Fine Arts Council is grateful to the sponsors who make this event possible: Florida’s Adventure Coast, Love Val Foundation, Roots Creative Co., Renewal by Andersen, Mrs. Grout, Kiwanis Club of Brooksville, City of Brooksville, Power Design, XLNT Smoke, Hernando Community Coalition, Ruby Tuesday of Brooksville, Hernando Sun, Body by Brandi, Blick Art Supplies, NPR/WUFT, GS-JJ, Broad Street Brewing Co., and Wawa.
