ABOUT YOUR SPEAKERS:
Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Sekela graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and served on the USS Batfish, a nuclear-powered attack submarine. SSA Sekela completed a five-year tour with the Navy, and then worked in the private sector for seven years. After joining the FBI, SSA Sekela spent five years at the Washington Field Office (working public corruption and government fraud investigations) and three years assigned to the International Corruption Unit at FBIHQ. SSA Sekela is currently assigned to FBI Tampa, where he supervises a squad of Special Agents, Forensic Accountants, and Intelligence Analysts responsible for investigating white collar crime (including health care fraud, mortgage fraud, and corporate fraud), government fraud, and public corruption.
Rocco Maglio has been involved in Information Technology for almost three decades. He discovered the Internet in the early 90s (before it included images) and was inspired by its potential. He has worked in multiple sectors including Healthcare, Department of Defense, Media, and Financial Services. He was an original developer of the DotCMS open source Content Management System, a popular solution for building large interactive websites. He currently works as an application security engineer helping fix issues discovered in custom software. He recently earned a Masters in Information Technology, Cybersecurity from Capella University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Locally he is co-chair of the Technology Committee at Greater Hernando Chamber of Commerce and co-founder of the Hernando Sun Newspaper.
