HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. (June 4, 2021) — Marker 48 Brewing is happy to announce that it will host a viewing party for the Thursday, June 10, episode of “Restaurant: Impossible,” which features local restaurant Turnpike’s Rest Stop.
The Food Network show stars Chef Robert Irvine, who each week sweeps into a struggling restaurant and – with his crew – rebuilds and restores the business in two days.
Irvine’s website describes him as “a world class chef, fitness authority, and philanthropist (who) seeks to inspire people to live better through all his endeavors.”
Turnpike’s Rest Stop is a family-owned restaurant that opened in September 2019, located at 3429 Deltona Blvd. in Spring Hill, Florida. It specializes in breakfast, brunch and sandwiches. Its owners are Jodi and Eric Parresol and their daughter, Melissa.
The description of the Turnpike’s Rest Stop episode, filmed in March and titled “Subs and Pubs,” says “Robert Irvine visits Spring Hill, Fla., where Turnpike's Rest Stop is suffering due to a communication breakdown between the owner and her daughter, and their oversized subs are the root of financial troubles.”
Irvine specializes in such situations in many episodes, with his website biography saying, “Robert doesn’t just renovate restaurants and retrain staff in record time, he counsels owners through personal problems that were destroying their businesses.”
The owners and staff are contractually obligated to not reveal or discuss any details of the show, until it airs, but they can speak generally about it.
“It was an incredible experience, and it changed our lives,” Jodi Parresol said.
The watch party at Marker 48 starts around 8:30 p.m. The episode airs at 9 p.m.
