K9 Partners for Patriots is hosting it's first Virtual Open House on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Awareness Day, June 27th. This is a day to recognize the effects of post-traumatic stress on the lives of those affected by it and to learn what K9 Partners for Patriots is doing to combat PTSD and Veteran Suicides. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder has a profound effect on those who struggle with it. The trauma and anxiety associated with PTSD is a constant burden, not only to the one who suffers with it but also to friends and family. The statistics of people who suffer from PTSD alone are staggering. But more staggering still are the suicide statistics. 20 Veterans die every day at their own hand due to the overwhelming effects of PTSD. Due to the stigma surrounding PTSD, too many of our nation's veterans suffer alone in isolation unwilling to ask for help. WE BELIEVE There is effective help available. We believe with education and awareness, the stigma of PTSD will subside, and our veterans encouraged to ask for help. They need your support; they need your voice! If you can't attend at the time of the live event, we invite you to still register and you will be able to view it at a later time.
