Historic Hernando Preservation Society Auction of "Wonderful Things"

The Historic Hernando Preservation Society invites all to the December Annual Meeting and Auction of Wonderful Things to be held December 7, 2017 at 5:30 pm in the City Council Chambers at Brooksville City Hall. Elections for the 2018 Board and Officers will take place at the meeting to be followed immediately by a charity antiques and collectibles auction to start at 6:30.

The auction items come from a private collection amassed over 50 years and include engravings, porcelain pieces, silver, carvings, and other collectibles typical of the Victorian and Edwardian era. Proceeds from the auction will benefit local historic organizations and properties in Hernando County as well as go toward funding a historic marker to commemorate Garden Grove, a 1920s planned development south of Brooksville. The auction will be presided over by auctioneer and Board Member, Roger Sherman.
