Event Description:
The Historic Hernando Preservation Society is pleased to welcome Roger Carlton Sherman as our August Guest Speaker.  Roger is the former Board Chairman of the Henry B. Plant Museum in Tampa, and a donor to the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, and the  Lightner Museum in St. Augustine among others.  He moved to the Brooksville area from Tampa where he had a historic Green Brothers-style bungalow in the Hyde Park Historic District.
 
Following the presentation we will have a live auction of about 30 items consisting of paintings, engravings, cloisonne, crystal and porcelains.  All the proceeds will go to the Society's Historic Marker Program.  The event will begin at 6:30 with a preview of the auction items beginning at 6:00. Admission is FREE.  Light refreshments will be served.
