Meet at Cypress Lakes Preserve entrance, 33597 Ridge Manor Blvd. (at Olancha Road) in Ridge Manor. Jim King, retired land manager for Hernando County’s Environmentally Sensitive Lands, will lead a walk at this seldom visited county park. He will speak briefly to introduce us to this 331-acre property. Then he will guide us about 1.5 miles on the Florida National Scenic Trail as we look for birds and wildflowers.
