Event Description:
This evening was created to give Moms and Sons a special evening together while sharing with these young men some helpful tips in the Gentlemen's Code and being the best version of themselves.
?The evening will include Dinner, Games, Entertainment, Dancing, Gifts and a Successful Male will give a Gentleman's Code Interactive presentation. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn "Badges" throughout the evening when they exhibit the Gentlemen's Code.
The meal will be catered in and lots of local businesses have donated special gifts for this special mom and son night.
Let's enjoy the evening and show our young men how to how to have a good time, learn some gentlemen's etiquette, and honor their mother on this Mother's Day eve.

The Life Center Info : As of March 1, 2019
Statistics:
> 53 moms and 76 children have been housed since opening 2/2013.
> 11 of the children were born while mom was living at TLC
> 4 children were reunited by DCF because TLC provides safe housing.
Services include:
Individual bedroom for each family
Laundry facilities
Some transportation
Weekly Life Skill classes
Individual goal setting weekly
Opportunities to earn TLC$ for use in boutique
The need for expansion:
We need to increase capacity: In Oct 2018 we had 13 qualified moms we had to turn away.
We could accept more donations of food or clothing with more space
We would like to operate our own daycare if we had the space
We an office on site
We need private meeting space for individual meetings with Healthy Families and Baycare and DCF workers.
Mission Statement : The Life Center of Hernando, Inc. Will provide needed social services using a faith-based model, to parents of minor children in Hernando County and the surrounding areas. The services offered will promote self-sufficiency and independence. They will include, but not be limited to: residential living opportunities, life skills training, healthy family development, mentoring, spiritual and cultural guidance, community involvement, daycare services for residents and community children, education and training.
Vision Statement : We envision a generation of young women who love and believe in themselves, who possess the moral character, self-discipline and courage to be productive members of their community and who will instill these traits in their children.
